Rowlands Castle clinic directions
Travelling from the north
Find your way onto the A3 southbound. After the Petersfield turn off, you come over Butser Hill. Continue on the A3 until it becomes the A3M (ignore the sign to exit left to continue on the old A3). Take the next exit – the B2149, signposted Rowlands Castle/ Emsworth.
Come up the slip road and turn left (Dell Piece East), then veer right at a small roundabout and continue on the road (Havant Road) as it takes you through some woodland.
The road will then lead you into Rowlands Castle. Continue along this road (still the B2149) and you’ll come to two mini roundabouts. Go straight over the first, then turn left at the second (signposted Emsworth) into Whichers Gate Road. This will take you between a Harvester pub/ restaurant on your left and a Shell garage on your right.
Immediately after the Shell garage, there’s a driveway on your right (opposite a school). Take this and follow it down to the bottom. You can park on the left in front of a yellow garage (or in front of the house itself if there is space). The Barn is the yellow house beyond this. Travelling from the south or west
From the M27/A27, branch north towards Petersfield and Guildford on the A3. Take the turn-off after Waterlooville – signposted Cowplain and Horndean and the B2149. When you hit the roundabout at the top of the slip road, turn right onto the B2149 towards Rowlands Castle.
The first section of this road is called Dell Piece East. Veer right at a small roundabout and continue on to the Havant Road. This will take you through some woodland.

Travelling from the east
There are various routes to Rowlands Castle. From Chichester, get on to the A27 towards Havant and Portsmouth. After the Emsworth turn-off, you will see an exit marked Havant and Rowlands Castle (also Langstone and Hayling Island). Take this and at the roundabout at the end of the slip road, turn right towards Havant and Rowlands Castle (this road is the B2149).
Stay on the B2149, which will take you through three sets of traffic lights and then over a roundabout (take the second exit to carry straight on). Continue on towards Rowlands Castle. You will cross several more sets of traffic lights before leaving the built-up area and entering Rowlands Castle.
When you see a Shell petrol station on your right, turn right at a mini roundabout (signposted Emsworth) into Whichers Gate Road. By train
If you come by train, Rowlands Castle station is the nearest, on the Waterloo to Portsmouth Harbour line. It’s a 15-minute walk to my practice (call for directions), or I can come and collect you if I’m free. Havant station is the next station down the line, but is on a faster service. This is a five-minute taxi ride away (there is a taxi rank at the station).
